Requirements for article manuscripts

The editors accept manuscripts of scientific articles in Russian and English, previously unpublished, containing original research results in the field of sociology.

Texts of an educational, popular science or journalistic nature will not be accepted for publication.

All manuscripts are peer reviewed.

There is no fee for publication, and no royalties are provided to authors.

The volume of article manuscripts is from 0.5 to 1 author's sheet (1 author's sheet = 40,000 characters with spaces).

Manuscripts must be sent to the editorial office's email address  si_ras@mail.ru

In addition to the text of the manuscript, the publication material must contain the following information:

  • information about the author (co-authors), including last name, first name and patronymic in Russian and English, academic degree and academic title (if any), place of work/study (full official name of the institution without abbreviations), position at the place of work, postal address (with zip code), telephone number (indicating codes), email address;
  • an abstract of 100-200 words in Russian and English;
  • keywords in Russian and English;
  • title of the article in English;
  • bibliographic list of references
  • additional list of references - References (see below for formatting rules).

Manuscripts are accepted in electronic version in *.doc, *.docx, *.rtf format.

References to sources are given in the text in brackets (author's last name, space, year, colon, page), and also in the form of a list of references at the end of the article manuscript in alphabetical order, starting with publications in Russian. If the article has a DOI, this identifier must be indicated in the list of references. Only scientific sources are indicated in the list of references. Necessary references to media, Internet sites, and legislative acts are indicated in page footnotes.

Additional References

The additional list contains the names of bibliographic sources in Latin, as well as Russian-language sources transliterated into Latin. When preparing References, preference is given to already published translations of article, book and website titles. For this, you should use a search in bibliographic databases (RSCI, Cyberleninka, etc.), on the official website of the journal, by DOI.

For transliteration it is recommended to use  Google Translate
